Balinese Traditional Dishes You Must Try At A Shrida Ubud Restaurant – When you are at a Shrida Ubud Restaurant , there are Balinese traditional dishes that you have to try. Nasi Tepeng

This dish is actually from Gianyar. Nasi Tepeng is white rice that is cooked quite long until the texture is like porridge. It comes with a variety of side dishes, such as eggplants, long beans, red beans, and grated coconut. You can also add boiled eggs, chicken. Sate Lilit

As it is said before, Sate Lilit is also one of the worldwide famous Balinese traditional dishes. This satay is made from minced meat, then wrapped around a lemongrass, creating a very soft and deep-flavoured satay. The meat used varies, usually beef, chicken, pork, and even mackerels. Sate Lilit is seasoned with grated coconut, coconut milk, lime juice, pepper, and shallots.

Grilled on charcoal, Sate Lilit also has a smoky taste. Due to the use of lemongrasses, this Balinese satay is bigger than most other types of satays.

Ayam Betutu

Ayam (chicken) Betutu has an extremely rich flavour because it is seasoned with bumbu genep. Bumbu genep itself is a Balinese special seasoning consisting of shallots, garlic, chilli, shrimp paste, ginger, lemongrass, lime leaves, turmeric, candlenuts, galangal, and bay leaves. Besides the seasoning, another interesting thing about Ayam Betutu is the way it is served.

This dish is served with cassava leaves inside the chicken’s tummy, and you can see a lot of the seasoning on top of it. Make sure you have this dish at a Shrida Ubud Restaurant .
